What’s the Cheaper Home Batteries Program All About? The Albanese Government has committed to slashing the up-front cost of approved home battery systems by around 30%, helping Australian households and businesses future-proof their energy use. Here’s what you need to know: 🔋 30% off battery installations, delivered through Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) 💸i.e. $4,000 off an 11.5 kWh battery or $3,000 off an 8 kWh battery (based on $370 per kWh for 2025) 🏡 Households with existing solar can save an additional to $1,100 per year (estimated) ☀️ New solar users could save up to $2,300 per year 🔌 One million batteries are expected to be installed by 2030 📅 Program launches 1st July 2025 Note – all savings are job specific and will be calculated at the time of quotation. Am I Eligible for the Battery Discount?
